Dear friends, I am Rob from London. With this site, I wanted to share my story about how I am losing weight by swimming, every single day for 38 to 45 minutes. My weight on 3rd June 2019 was 89 Kg and within 3 months, I already lost over 9kg (last check on 2nd Sep was 79.5Kg.

Swimming is the most complete sport, we all know that; probably the most effective towards weight loss without much damage to your core body. But it can also be quite boring and unpleasant.

To keep the ball rolling, I figured that the only way was solving the main issues that always prevented me from swimming regularly:

  1. Getting tired after few laps (catching breath) and sinking on the legs
  2. Getting bored alone in the water, repetitive routines
  3. Lack of technique and patience to improve it
  4. Unfitted equipment (Fog and water in the mask, water in the ears)
  5. Infections from touching the pool environment

Here you will find the equipment I have selected and now own without any additional help. A daily swim is now part of my daily routine, and I am having good fun too. The results are evident in my body, and this is working very well to improve my overall mood and motivation. I am eating less and healthier, and I gave up on sugar/fizzy drinks, packed meat, bread, and most of the carbs. As well I gave up driving my motorbike to go to work. Instead, I cycle the 6+6 km way to the office.

Clearly, a good swim makes you hungry. Therefore I mostly try to swim early in the morning before going to work or during my lunch break. This way, I can have a normal breakfast and feel very energized for the rest of the day or with just a smoothie at lunch, I am completely full until dinner. Either way, after my workout, I always drink at least 500ml of water with electrolytes, and this is helping me to recover faster. If I have to swim after work, I tend to have a light lunch, (white rice, pasta or barley with tuna, a mixed leaf salad with basic ingredients like green beans, feta, tomatoes, avocado, crayfish or beef and a little dressing (oil extra virgin and balsamic vinaigrette).  It took me a few days to get in the rhythm, but because I got  really motivated to swim every day, my body adapted quite naturally.
